Soldier Store Advanced was the first popular AOK map that I made several years back and it's the original map which all the others currently played have editted aka Accelerated. I admit to a few bad gameplay decisions which Accelerated fixed and I've since then adjusted SSA to use 3 of Accelerated's changes. New units were given faster, I removed some towers to make basing less attractive, and I removed those darn Elephant backup triggers that everyone generally agreed was ****.

Although I liked those changes in Accelerated, it was still just an edit of version 0,8 of Advanced hence it was never actually complete and Saboteurs ruined SS forever. I blame myself for leaving too soon to figure out Sabs could do so well offensively. It was never meant to be used that way. Not only was getting sabs individually too easy, Accelerated removed khan from the store and replaced him with respawn Sabs. I must say that was the stupidest idea that obviously had no thought into it but to be terminal.

The final release of SSA fixed the first sab issue by making it take 6 trade carts to get one little ol' sab. The second problem was never an issue because you were never able to make sabs respawn. You SSA "experts" may not like the 6 trade carts, but the map used to be an expert map until it became a sabfest of a game. Sabs were meant to be used defensively in that map. If you guys want to continue playing like newbs, then by all means, play Accelerated. But Advanced... The Original... is meant for good players and you can download it here.

i liked SSA way better than acc...i like the ele back up...save 21 to get subotai...i love that :P way better than acc...
