Hey, ive been thinking of wat are the differences beteween Hero Fest and Bloods?.. uhmm i can only think of razings.. cuz villies u start with vilies in other bloods. so.. give any opinions?

villys basicly, sense bombard/castles are half part of HF, you don't get villys at the start in any scenario really besides like baby-hf aka sun blood and cb. you can get villys with raz sometimes, but they don't play a major roll in most bloods.

uhmm then why sun blood its a blood :s.. i see it more like Hero Fest than any other blood..

Ok Valar,

THis all common basically are same because when you called it as blood as we are create this map by triggers so, it will be known as bloods map but not always.. Depend on what...

Sun B = Blood because we are made from triggers by making unit on kills and blah blah as its basically all in the same common.. Did it get your answer? ^_^

Bloods like inf, archers dont have a vill

others have em after a raze bonus, unless its sun blood, never really liked that map

villys make a big difference in sb, esspecially if your turks

but difference between bloods and hf, bloods dont really start out with vills except holy blood and sun..altho sun should be considered hf with keeps..but holy blood, you dont fest llike hf...just 2 blacksmiths an a uni then research, meanwhile hf dont contain blacksmiths and universitys to research from...

Everyone just ends up tower basing in sun and that gets annoying fast, thats why it is basically dead.

Blood you win everything in. Vills, ages, buildings, and units. You win all these in blood. In HF you just win better units and u start with vills Thats it basically :bigglass:

as a mapmaker, I've grasped the concept of what a blood is and the answer to your question is... there is no difference. Hero Fest is a blood even though it doesn't say blood in the name.

So what is a blood. A blood is very simple. It's a multiplayer scenario that completely throws out the economic side of the game. It's no more complex than that. If you make it more complex, you are limiting the mini-genre that keeps the game fresh. Bloods, of course, have evolved since the first blood which was called "Blood". Blood was even simpler than the first CB. You have too many resources to waste and it generally played like a deathmatch. Bloods are more complex or limited because mapmakers could create cool things with triggers. Automatic respawns, kill/razing detectors, middle interference, explosions/conversions, etc are features of bloods, but they don't define bloods. Call them standards maybe

. Who wants to play a blood that doesn't reward your kills and razings these days?

i see.. well nice answers i kinda knew wat u guys will say but still i wanted to make all of us think about it.. and see that hero fest is very similar to a blood as dacreator says.. so i dont get why HFers think bloods r for noobs and that HF is the real shiit

uh...you get razing rewards in bloods...and you just gotta kill ur opponent in hf with no razing rewards..end of story :lol: oh yea..and bloods dont have trebs

cba doesnt have trebs, some cbt have edited versions without trebs, i think the only sb version with trebs is the ultima rated one

what does trebs have to do with anything? Hfers say bloods are for newbs because of the inherent limitations in those maps. Bloods consist of rules that you are forced to play in while HF is open-ended. The thing I find wrong with this thinking is that HF has an important limitation in itself. It's a castle/tower game. There is no other strategy to it than that. If you stray too far from that type of gameplay, you'll end up losing.

hardly ever happens but in small at like 1500 kills? in the ultima++ version you get 5 gods own slings or trebs...not sure which

mayb the fact if u manage 2 get 5-10 n range of something that creates spawn u can do 200ish dmg per hit vs's even if u had lots of khans ud have 2 get them n range and n like hf most likely enemy has b towered up so u cant khan rush their castle <_<

B) Well I think we covered it. The difference beetween Blood and HF but its good u brought it up. I never thought of it i just played maps and owned. (BTW SS v151 No sab has trebs at 2000 kill (Damn I got to delte some map i got like 3000 maps!!!) That took me forever to find to prove ss has trebs.
