Linden Labs has announced that there will no longer be any gambling activities allowed in Second Life, citing the need for compliance with real world laws.

This will have a huge affect on the game. A lot of gambling is done in Second Life, with home arcades, up to city casinos and more. Thousands of people gamble in game daily, so this will have a big impact on how people play the game.
