What are good against the Spanish horses? I always have a problem with them...By the way Im german and i dont use any other civ.

Is it worth creating war wagons, what are they good against?

war wagons are good against cavalry so u can build them. you can also build pikemen since they are an anti cavalry unit. but the lancer are decent against pikemen so u might not want to build them. the doppelsolner is the best infantry unit the germans have. they succeed against cavalry. if you are facing a spanish army with cavalry with the germans you would want to build war wagons, doppelsoldners and get some free uhlans. just throw the uhlans in front of your war wagons so that they take a beating while ur war wagons shoot. also use ur doppelsoldner's to take out his cavalry. if he has a small regiment of musketeers or some canons use ur uhlans to take those out instead of sitting in front of the canons. ur uhlans are expendable because you didnt buy them and u can get many more through shipments. with the germans your goin to want to have a good economy. this allows you to use ur trading posts to acquire XP points if you dont need resources(which you wont cuz u have a good economy). that would be my strategy against an army of spanish cavalry.

if anyone else see's problems with this strategy point it out or just post ur ideas for takin out the spanish cavalry with germans

once your home city is over level 10, go to the dock section of ur home city and u can get mercanaries from there, jaegsers, black riders ect ect, put them in ur deck and during the game u can get them for 1200 gold, which is perfectly worth it, if u think black-riders are very powerful dragoons, 1200 gold for 10 Black riders means tha each one costs 120 gold, normal dragoons cost 90 food and 90 gold, 180 resources in total. So its perfectly worth it

war wagons suck unless ur playin cavalry. the prob with the germans is they dont have much to put in front of the war wagons except for doppels and skirms. uhlans suck and are only good for takin out artillery.

the germans are a good civ. they just suck against anyone with cavalry.

With germans, I think Doppelsoldners will be your most effective solution.

Spainnish horses r pretty good

as german war wagons + dopple soldiers r anti cav, aswell as pikemen.

If you can get mercs go lanchents instead of br if they go heavy cav + cannons, make some ulhans for cannons and lanchenets, war wagons, and dopple soldiers for cavs.

But for me i think that war wagons and dopple soldiers r very expenciive.
