This has nothing to do with speed YET...
build around 50 muskets(upgraded). have atleast 6 barracks pumping these out. have two factories to produce rockets and get around 5 - 8 rockets.(use shipments if u want.) build 20-30 hussars(upgraded) and have 3 stables pumpign them out. This army should have u covering all aspects of an army. For curassiers and artillery french army forget the rockets and build some more muskets. the key is to adapt to ur opponents army. if playing spanish get some more rockets for is light army. but against playing a heavy army build some more muskets and hussars. post ur ideas and conflicts. If you have a good eco strat post it too. |

i can do that in 25 minutes and have them all fully upgraded. but rockets are not pathetic they will rape almost any infantry in the game. they are mostly used for inflicting damage to doppelsoldners and dealing damage to curassiers before they get owned by my muskets or the rockets can be used for killing longbows or skirmishers(units good against muskets. Rockets also deal a lot of damage to falconets so that it wont be too hard for my hussars to kill.

Instead of building rockets in your factory it would do better if you get wood and gold, and build falconets, culverins and mortars. Rocket takes longer and is weaker.
My 2 cents anyway.

lets assume u have got to this point in the game...your muskateers/hussars/rockets would get completely owned by any army using imperial cannon (from factory) and dragoons (or equivalent). What could you do against that? Your musk and rockets would get owned by the cannon, and the dragoons (strong vs artillery and cavalry) would prevent u killing the cannon with your hussars. British are a very weak late game civ, if you are planning on surviving a rush that long then you would be far better off with dutch ;] they get skirms in the 2nd age, (always useful for defence) and the imperial carabineers are awesome when supported by cannon =]

ya i found that out yesterday. i was playin no rush 25 games like i usually do to have fun. so i built m army. played a lvl 78 portugese guy. he comes flying out with 10 organ guns and around 50 dragoons. im like oh ****.... i got raped. time for a change in strategy i would say. if u got a good one for military (it doesnt have to be the english.) post it here.
I play no rush 15 20 and 25 games so tr to assume i have quite some time to build up. |

I remember when a LAN Portuguese player had massed like 50 Organ Guns when I was playin dutch... my halbardiers, ruyters and skirmishers didn't have a chance

brits have a strong eco early game, so between 15-20 mins u should really be looking to finish of the game as fast a possable. go upgraded longbowmen + falcons and if he goes heavy cannons, or somtihng get rockets + culverins |

French and Portuguese economy is much better... and you should try to minimise the amount of no rush games you play with them

um there noobs in rush games but i beg to differ in no rush games. ive won a lot of games with them raiding eco's with curassiers.
and try seeing where u get in dm when im french and ur spanish or germans |
