ok ok, how come when i go into game i can't get a map transfered to me? its annoying.. i reinstalled aok hoping that would work and it didnt.. now i have no maps and just can't play :X heeeeeeelp

Do you have a firewall?

Are you using a Patch??

tardo, if he had a firewall it wouldnt even let him into the game in the first place...the firewall would block an ip not a map :/. and a patch wouldnt have anything to do with map transfers...

ud have to make sure u have a scenario folder and didnt accidently delete it...or something else :/ but its nothin to do with a patch or firewall

Try doing it manually by getting someone either you know on msn to send you the maps you require and want to play , then take the map out of my recieved folder and put it into

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Age of Empires II\Scenario

or as you figured, you download maps here under the custom sceniro section and do the same.

that should work .

crony if u r using windows XP go to your control panel then security center and turn the xp firewall off then see if u can join games ^_^

dude.....if u got windows xp then just turn your firewall off in security centre, if you have a third party firewall then good luck, LOL
