hey my zone started lagging badly tonight and i cant get it to stop, iv tried reinstallin aok + zone, running anti-virus, defrag, spyware scanners etc but this hasnt helped at all...my comp is top spec 3ghz processor, my connection is broadband...so no idea why its laggin or how to stop it...any1 else got any ideas?

if not i guess il just quit aok n go to somethin else, its about dead anyway :S

bah u cant quit son tht wudnt b rite ;] anti virus wudnt do **** ;/ its spyware. wt spyware scanner u use? u d/l nething recently?

on somethin unrelated 2 this topic lol. i scanned my comp, got rid of 170+ infections, then fixed my registry with 170+ errors. i restarted comp, i go on internet, and then this **** comes up which ive never ever seen before sayin "bla bla to fix this download winscanner 2005" it ws weird **** man.

hmm is it zone as in the whole page? like signing in or like aok? or rooms? did you try the support...

no mem+ at the support...the lag is in aok...both in the lobby, room, and in game...my internet is still usual fast speed on everything else i use :S

i have the same thing i cant type or **** in rooms cuse its dead slow ... it was sound then all of a sudden it dieds and im on b b

only thing acting odd with my zone is my zone friends window not loading correctly it loads with no friends but its because i have to many on their, not sure what could be wrong with your lobby though you said you reinstalled but my best guess would be in the msn gaming zone folder with all the reg keys ect..

if u have norton turn off your virus scan and make sure u have direct x worked for me


theres 2 things for norton firewall and virus scan no need to turn off fire wall just the virus scan and bam no lag

lay the lag is your broad band theres nothing u can do just put up wit hthe **** i shud only happen when cs room is packed like 200 + ppl wont lag under 100 ppl YALL see

it aint my broadband lol...why wud it be fine for ages and then suddenly start lagging? and i mean hardcore lag this is worse than sl4 or army...well ok maybe not as bad as army :P

soma told me about bandwidth...


means leave your comp off for like 5 hours, and shut off internet for the same amount of time, then come back...


if you go download songs or something, or if you use weather channel thingy on your comp, it eats your bandwidth terribly :\


just turn off comp for 5 hours and if that doesnt work, leave for the night and come back the next night and try :s



also go to AOK folder and delete any saved games or synced games you have...

i heard that fixes lobbys a ****load :\

The Zone was lagging. I attribute this to the multitude of NOOBs & ROOKS that flood chat by sending repeated advertisements, as if this wil bring players quicker.

Also - if you have Norton - get rid of it - it causes Zone lag.
