erm I don't know, nothing here really interests me. Last night I was reading the wow forums and somebodys sig said like.. "vgaming" which reminded me of this website. I figured I'd visit it and see if anyone I used to play with still posted here. I'm pretty busy with work and my (soon to be) fiance so rarely do I have time to play games or read forums. I might check here once every week or two just to see what's going on though.

Really the only difference between Architecture and Graphic Design is structure. In Graphic Design you're usually taking a sound structure and blowing it up / out of proportion (e.g artwork on depthcore.com) where as Architecture is basically a really really complex version of the sims. (actually it really isn't, but that's the best comparison I could come up with.)

http://www.maxon.net/pages/connections/arc...es/exchange.jpg

The programs are a little bit different, but I've still been able to use photoshop cs elements 2.0 and 3D studio max/bentley architecture. However the basic tools are Autocad and Archicad.

Sorry for the offtopic though, yeah I'm doing really well. my aim is Happywhiteb0y if anyone wants to chat, usually I'm online during the evenings (although I'm usually idle or afk).

p.s. your world map top 10's on this website are terrible and full of scrubs.

Graphic Design is easy to learn and is ultimately the shallow end of the design spectrum. It takes no true understanding of things, or real knowledge, aside from the ability to understand and manipulate the programs to get from point A to point B, and maybe a dash (and I stress the word "DASH"), of creativity. A good architect will study for years, and have a vivid understanding of physics, finite math, geometry, trig, and art, drafting, and many other areas of study...

A graphic designer in this day and age doesn't even have to be that good of an artist. He only need be able to utilize the programs to achieve his prerogative.

That's basically the difference that Banned was trying to describe in his ten words or less banter

A good graphic designer does indeed have to be a good artist, however I wouldn't call anyone on this website a graphic designer, let alone good. Like you said they just know how to manipulate a program to get what they want.

Also your sig is from the bible, in pulp fiction he's just reading a passage
