A fireman, a farmer, and a lawyer (all good friends) were rowing in a boat, getting away from civilization to talk with one another.
However, they soon realize they've gone too far. The fireman starts to row back to shore when his oar suddenly is grabbed out of his hand and into the water. A shark!
Stranded and surrounded, the three come to the conclusion that one of them needs to swim back to shore and get help.
The fireman, being the bravest, goes first. About 5 minutes after, he comes back to the boat with a bloody leg and a missing pant leg.
The farmer, being the second bravest, jumps in. About 10 minutes later, he comes out with a bloody hand, a blood leg, a missing sleeve and pant leg, and no right baby finger.
The lawyer sighs and jumps. About 15 minutes later, all of the sharks swim away. The lawyer comes out of the water unscathed. The fireman and farmer are astounded.
"How did you do that?" One asked.
"Common courtesy." The lawyer replied.
