this is a sobering but sensitive issue most of you if you live in the us already know bout this. Tookie williams was the founder of a very famous, large and violent gang in LA called the crooks. He was caught convicted and sentinced to death for killing 1 store clerc and 3 others when he robbed a hotel killing the 2 owners and their kid. Since being on death row he has written several books even children books to try and cut down on gang crimes even getting a truce between crooks and one of their major rival gangs. Tookie was executed this tuesday at midnight after being refused clemency by Gov.


I belive that justice was done. They all talk bout what he has done to stop gang violence. In reality i see little affect done to gangs overall there are still deaths everyday due to gang violence. The main reason for me is he has never apologized for what he did. If you didnt know he killed those 3 in the hotel using a sawed off shotgun. I dont know if you know what a shot gun does to the human body but i can hardly say their deaths were nething but quick and painless. I am not moved by his attemps to save his life

lol the gang was called the crooks?...they wus definitly called Crips an some of my family is bloods so they dont really care bout tookie but i respect tookie ..u gotta look at it from other peoples point of view u cant just say **** tookie.. i wud of kept dude alive ;]

well even 4 some 1 of his stature it takes awhile 4 things 2 get take action/effect look @ jim brown after he spent time n jail he now works on trying 2 get rival gangs 2 become friends and stop fighting but it didnt start that smoothe @ 1st if guy was given a chance he probally coulda helped

w/e the gangs was oh well but yah u say he could of made thing better for the gangs well even if he did i dont think that would be enough because he could never make things better for those familys of whom lost loved ones because of him

The gang is called Crips, not crooks.

and they never had real evidence to prove that he did it..

im not for the death penalty and he was a changed man..he wrote books for kids and tried to make sure others dont follow the path that he took.

there was evidence that he did it..but none of it was 100% valid..

he did save lives though...but not as many as the crips took..

the crips are everywhere now. u cant go to any city in north america without finding crips or crip-wannabies..

And Affenotto your a moron for saying "justice was done"...thats not justice at all. And as for the shotgun, the bullets they found are questionable, because the defense had proof that they didnt even match the shotgun.
