Quote:
Five new human cases of bird flu have been identified in several Turkish provinces, pushing the number of infected up to 14, officials say.
The cases, confirmed by Turkey as being of the deadly H5N1 strain, mean the virus is now present in the east, north and centre of the country.

At least two Turkish children have died and correspondents say fear is spreading rapidly across the country.

But the WHO says there is no sign the virus is passing from human to human.

The two siblings confirmed to have died of bird flu in the eastern town of Dogubeyazit, in the province of Van, had close contact with poultry.

Tests are still being carried out on their 11-year-old sister, who also died, to see if she was also infected with H5N1.

Their brother, the sole surviving sibling of the family, was released from hospital on Monday. Tests indicated six-year-old Ali Hasan Kocyigit did not have the virus.

I don't give a ****. This is nature's way of genocide, and right now humans are it's target. We killed nature, it kills us.

You just lost all my respect. Talking about mass killing people like that is wrong, natural disasters happen but you shouldn't want them, and you should care about them since it could be your life on the line soon.

NO offense but I kinda agree with hellfire to SOME POINT.

It is naturs way of genocide. Keeps the population under control. If you think most people over there (Asia), has over 2 billion just in India. I mean thats a little much for one country.

Might kill a few million but there is like a baby born every 15 secs so it really doesn't matter that much. Now yes I feel sorry for the family that might lose a loved one, but still we are going to screw ourselves over if we cure everything and can't get anything. Mass starvation would happen and that would be worse on people then the bird flu. LONG painful death instead of getting the flu.

Natural genocide can be very helpful. =)

Just my opinion.

I take it you missed the part where I said "we killed nature".
Millions of years ago, if you couldn't see a tree you were at sea or in a desert. But only a few hundred years ago, Great Britain was at a loss of trees.
In Asia, so much land was needed that trees were "genocided".
Not to mention fridges, damaging our O-zone layer. If you think the bird-flu is a natural disaster, wait till our O-zone goes down.
Also rainforests. You have no idea how many trees get cut down A DAY. If it was in the 19th century, it would take MONTHS to match all of the nature that is destroyed in ONE DAY in the 21st century.
Humans have also killed off many species of animals.
If all living beings on Earth were divided into countries, we'd be the United States. They have the most population and the most technology. BUT EVERYONE HATES US.
It's only right for us to die.

Apparently if you looked at the polls, with the new laws in place for every tree we cut down in the us we have to plant a new one, our trees are starting to come back, we've gained more trees than we had in i believe the 1970's.

So, really, even if the population goes up, it's not right to say "These people should die because they were born at this time."

Even so, look at the animals.
We have I'd say, too many species endangered and/or extinct. We have killed off these poor creatures, 30% of the time for self-defense, but most of the time it was for sport and for fun.
I know it's now illegal, but it has become too popular for it to truly stop. Just like drugs.
There are only two things in life you KNOW are definite. You're born, and you die. Dieing as a baby is tragic, you've barely had time to live, but dieing as a man is not nearly as tragic.
1970 is a very short time from now. Back in WWII, I'm betting we have double the trees we have today. Our trees are definately coming back, but don't you think we were TOO slow to react?
Like the animal killing thing, cutting trees down had become an addiction. There will always be illegal gangs cutting down trees to sell.

SO WRONG...
WE do NOT plant a tree for every tree we cut down. The gov. tries to make them but it will NEVER happen as it costs to much money to make it so that they can regrow the trees. They would rather just cut them down and then sell the property.

Yes we have gained more but we have ALSO cut down more then in the 70's.

You misunderstood my point, my friend, if let's say humans were the US, and trees or something were some other country, and animals some other country, we'd be hated.

After all these months, what does bird flu do to you?
No one ever told me what effects happens on your body, I asked some idiots who said it will make you act like a bird, but really what does it do?

Kenner the population is going up yes but at a very slower rate in the 1970's it was baby booming that was killing nature we grew at such a rapid rate we needed the space so we cut down alot of trees as we didnt have the resources to cope.

I see both good and bad points to all arguements I agree that Im against the mass killing I doubt if hellfires parents died because of the flu (I really hope it doesnt happen) I doubt he would be saying o well i suppose we did harm nature so im not bothered.

and

I agree that things like this happen for a reason maybe were killing more natural resources and maybe technology is to blame were finding knew species all the time if they get in contact with other new things could arise such as new virus's.

anyway thats only what I think

...I said people who die for my country DON'T deserve to die.
Nor does anyone who had to die by force (terrorist attack, stab on the street, whatever). Dieing is natural.
