ok, i need a computer... basically for gaming... i have a $750 budget to work on.... on this thread, post a computer that you would build... (excludiing the monitor) that would be best for running high end games that take alot of memory.... like WOW and Farcry. rember the budget. post the specs of the computer, adn where to get the parts for it

u can probably get something like mine....

mine came out to like $1,800 CAN....but i bought it a year ago...so id say its at like $1000 bucks now...


its still strong for todays market...

52x32x52 CD Burner
16x DVD Drive (on second bay)
Altec Lansing Speakers W/Sub Woofer
17" Samsung Monitor
Open Tower w/blue lights (optional but it looks nice...about $100)
And a * ass 32MB Intel Graphics Card....if you want a gaming comp then ul need 128MB+...which is cheep now...prolly around $120....i dont use comp for games so its useless to me.

Umm if you want a gaming comp then DON'T get an Intel card. I don't think anyone will sell a 'gaming computer' with an intel card in it anyways...but intel cards are horrible.

I got a dell package with mostly that stuff, like the two disk drives, 512mb ram, and a gefore 6800 128mb. The only big thing I got for it was a sweet Logitech sound system, but you only need that if your a constant music freak :P Anyways, including the nice 17inch monitor, it came it at well under $1,000 US, and if you don't want the monitor, optical mouse, etc. then it wont be so bad

Ok if you want a computer strictly for gaming i suggest you visit a website that specializes in that kind of stuff.... http://www.alienware.com very exspensive but every good site for top of the line computers... http://www.xfxforce.com/products.php here is another that site that has some rlly good graphics cards for the best of gaming... now if u goin hard core n * for gaming u guna need atleast 1gig of ram and a cooling system cuz that stuff can get pretty hot if u plan to overclock graphics card and the motherboard... alot of cooling systems are exspensive u culd just buy a cuple fans for $7 but i wuldnt.... there these things i forget the name but it has liquid stuff running threw it and its in a tube that u put around ur hardware on the inside that will cool ur computer...

*xfxforce site also has motherboards n stuff just have to take time to look around

Alienware is nice and stuff if you have the money to blow on it...I suggest a dell if you wanna save on it. Dell has good deals for a nice gaming comp, and usually have a very nicely designed case, easy to upgrade.

just build a terabyte and keep your old computer and maybe get a new graphics card

Lol, or you can always go to one of those little computer stores, they are fairly cheap. And some are quite reliable so if you really want to save money thats ur best bet. By the way bell is worthless, they sell all the cheapest parts thats why they so cheap. ny engineer would tell you better off going with an IBM comp.

and dell is a.ss....

DONT get a dell...take my advice

unless u want 5000 un-needed programs/files that will slow the s.hit out of your computer...

i recomend you get it custom made

i got mine made by MDG...its a very well known canadian computer company

and if u do take my advice...get it made at a well known place like me...

cuz there are some s.hitty a.ss places that put together computers and you can get fu.cked over....

like in Texas we have Fry's which is like sams to krogers


Fry's is really chea and good computer stuff and many other things that are sold there

like new comps that are there that would reg cost like 2k $ well they wouild cost around 900$ there
