nah not unfair at all, same thing happens in all sports, damn it happened to me, i turned up to training late for the australian team and i got benches for 2 games.....it's all about the team and not letting them down

yo but it was coaches fault..its apart the policy..he didnt make that decission...but damn dude italy got some mad * lucky shots and penetrations..i coulda sworn i saw about 10 3s with atleast 1 hand in the face and they hit it..they were just on their game....little white boys with shots lol...i was shocked

but again ruler....shaq ..wanted to let other young players get a chance to play u know so he turned down the offer and then koby...im sure he cant travel out of state with his court * u know....and people like ginobli and dirk are playing for their home countries ...

they arent. many many many people turned down the chance to play.

of course, a lot of players have clauses in their contracts that prohibit them from playing in other leagues and competitions because there's always the chance of being injured

ur dumb, usa is overrated u *. they tied with yugoslavia for 9 metals a peice, Not to mension yugoslavia killed them in FIBA 2004.

So now its like no competition. That loss to italy is nothing thats a fluke, they almsot lost to germany to but iverson got luckey. Here is ur 3 finalists USA/Argentina/Yugoslavia and yugoslavia might not make it because their starting 5 disadvantage.

Take a look at what happend in 96, USA vs Yugoslavia in finals, They only won by 6 points. And thats with Jordan, back then he was the best.

LOL man look at the team, they are all a bunch of young nobodies that still havent matured in the NBA, i actually read up on this game and the US team and i couldnt believe how many high profile players actually turned down the olympics.....

jordan couldn't be on the team.up until this year(i believe, maybe sidney in 2000) - any player involved in the NBA was not allowed to enter in the olympics. Now that is why the USA team is pretty much an all star team atm, cuz they changed the ruling.

werent they in the 92' team tho?
