Whats your fav. nhl team, mine is the Detroit Red Wings, and i get season tickets every year.

I played hockey for about 5 years so im a pretty big fan, then again now i wrestle at school, and cant play hockey because its the same season. <_<

So, whos your favorite team. B)

hell yea..GO RED WINGS..they used to own so much more..with hasek, and federov..i loved them tehn..with yzerman and shanahan and hull, man they owned..then the won the stanley cup ...and from then on things went down hill

I don't have a fave. As a younger fan, I always cheered on the best teams (for example, teams such as the sharks or devils not teams like florida or anahiem.)

What drives me crazy is that (as a Canadian), only 6 teams are in canada. We could use a few new teams, such as a team from winnipeg, sask. (look on the map) or NW ontario or even N BC.

But overall, my faves are calgary and for the upcoming season and with a few teams that are overloaded with good stuff;

I'm going with CGY, PHX, OTT and PIT. Reasons being that I'm from calagary, phx is with gretzy and he's got a lot of good quality guys like ricci and such; ott cause they got hasek whom I think is #1 goalie in the nhl cause roy's gone; pit cause they got mario lemiux and sidney crosby.

Oh and you guys all said that the wings used to own...

K...they did. But take in mind that only RECENTLY they've owned. From '96 onward until '03.

In 96 they went to the conference finals only to lose in 6 gms to the champs-to-be avs, and ever since the two teams have fought a rivalry comparable to that of toronto montreal or calgary edmonton or boston new jersey.

in 97 revenge was sweet and they eventually beat wayne gretz and the gang from broadway winning first cup in 52 yrs

98 repeat vs washington

99 i'm not sure but by then federov, steve y, and shanny was starting to come together

00 same

01 conf finals, same as 96 except this yr they had hull

02 cup, everybody on the team...

in 03...

hasek retired.
they got hatcher.
they got joesph from toronto.
federov went to a cup gm 7 (sweeping his old team in round 1 in 4 gms) with anaheim.

and now look what happened...hasek is now in ottawa, etc

man this is a new nhl enjoy it dude

Ive been rooting for the Devils ever since the got Scotty Gomez ( hometown hero! B) )
Brodeur is an awesome goalie
Theyve also had some great players ( have and still have i should say)
Unlike a lot fo former powerhouses, these guys are still here to play.

With the new NHL anything can happen. The teams are so mixed up and with the new rules you could see the Panthers win the cup. :P :lol: ( I wouldnt bet a dime on it, but hey, you never know :mellow: )
If you liked a team solely because they were good, then youll probably be changin favs here pretty soon

my fav is detroit but everyone likes them. i have liked them since they sucked back in the 1980's. well my second favorite team is the islanders YEA GO ISLANDERS

I'd have to say red wings. they got a bunch of great players this year like datsyuk and zetterberg and liljas is going to be a good defenseman and lang is good. i hope theyngo all the way. But if they dont my sec fav team is Phoenix Coyotes. Ladislav Nagy is sooo good its not fair. ive been playing hockey for 11 years now so im a big fan. And whoever posted the first post you should definitely quit wrestling and play hockey cuz its much better.

agreed hockeys so fun and its not like football where it gets boring and every single play is like 5 seconds :P u just keep goin and goin, and you get 2 major rests-the 2 intermissions- and all you have to do is slap a puck into the net, and somewhat you feel good about it once you score past the goalie fun to watch too u know

they stick out so much i hate them :lol: flyers are the worst in the NHL right now too haha..sucks their 1 win is from NYR, but still horrible :P
other 2 are doing alright, and i think NYR is the average team right now...but they are improving just like they should, we got a good team this year we got shanahan from detroit, jagr still from the capitals trade in 2004, and other rookie defenseman, and the same people as last year,but i think were gonna win next game! gl rangers :lol:
