www.muonline.com and www.roseonline.com are pretty popular free mmorpgs.

anarchy online was only free for a year around christmas and the doubled the offer and made it 2 years

Face of Mankind is currently free. Though, that's because it's in beta. You can get Dark Age of Camelot and EvE Online's trials, too. Those are free for two weeks. But damn are they good.

I don't recall this much of an free MMORPG, but GunZ: the duel International edition is a real good game if you like action, but the most RPG part of it is the beggining, where you choose what stuff you wanna start with, technically there's no story to the game but all I know is you kill ppl with Guns and swords.
The full version is launched in korea, but it's comming real soon in north america.
