I know this sounds harsh but downsyndrome babies. Should, if the parents know, the child be allowed to live?

I mean people say: "to live you have to have a good standard of living" and by living in a wheelchair and never getting real friends or whatever is that good standard of living?

I mean there is tests to see if your kid has downs so should you really be allowed to keep it? Does no one else consider this cruel?

Leave your thoughts... B)

Tough one ... I believe it should be at the discretion of the parents because kids with downs can have incredibly successful and rewarding childhoods. The only problem they cause is if the parents cant deal with them... If they, and no-one else, feel this is the case then perhaps they should be aborted. However, what you speak of, killing them just because they have downs sounds to me like euthanasia which I dont agree with...

English is not my main language so i cant explain myself in english as in my own language.
But i choose killed.
This is why.
The world is overpopulated. Now and then there're new viruses (plaque, HIV) because the world is overpopulated. If you look a few years back, when there were real cavemen. The greatest rule was 'survival of the fittest'. You'll still see this rule in the wild. newborn animals must stand and walk immediately, or else they would be killed by lions (etc).
The health of a group antilopes (don't know if you write it this way) depends of the weakest one.

So if you can determine in the first weeks of the pregnancy that the unborn child has 'deviations', i dont think it's wise to let it live.
I know it sounds cruel....

thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard. yes lets kill an innocent child because we dont believe it will lead a life such as a normal child? what next? if someone doesnt have friends, kill them? just because a child has down syndrome doesnt mean he cant live a successful life and have friends, look at sl4, he has down syndrome and hes engaged ( i think), goes to college, has friends, etc.

I don't have a real opinion on this btw but ok I can see that as a good answer too...

Well thats a tough one. First of all if we consider that ancients Spartians threw premature and 'disabled' babies in Keadas river, but things have changed since then. However having been given the gift of life and considering murder is a crime whichever your perception is, i think that those kids should be given a chance in life. Concluding if you want to think right, put yourself into these kids shoes and think : ' if i were one of those kids, i would want to be killed'?

So, i end up saying kept.

You'd be too retarded so you wouldn't be able to even think like that.

Killed. They cause nothing but trouble. The society has to do a lot of **** for them, but they don't give back anything. Also medicine should be disabled. The world is over populated.
