I voted for 80s mainly because my favorite band started up then.....Culture Club.

Yes i know their founder is gay and that he had a gay affair with his drum player.

But i also like Present day music ^_^

80's definitely!
All good metal bands like Slayer, Death, Sepultura, Napalm Death, Annihilator, Kreator, Sodom, Bolt Thrower and Carcass were formed in 80's.

Yeah, and not to mention the birth of synthpop and all electronic music we know today. The 80's were a very good musical decade.

80s cause of techno geared music and its when 1 of my fav dj's started dj paul oakenfold by far still even with the newer people coming out he has mixed some of the best techno songs which are used in many japanese started games such as the final fantasy series <3 but a new face i have found is dj babyboi i put him in almost the same league as oakenfold mixing-wise but overall babyboi can do alot better vs his earlier counter-parts such as oakenfold, tiesto, apex twins, bjork, moby, daft punk *yes i did just mention both moby and daft punk xD lol*, fatboy slim

80's
I think the music made in the eighties has the biggest influence on the music released today, in all fields of music. Electronic, Pop, Rock & Metal, they all really started in the 80's imo. Also, a lot of the present day music, is actually covered 80's music.

its all perfence i dont hold daft punk high in my techno/beat type music... just cause i dont like half his **** but like 1 entire song i can listen of his and it was used on a commerical dj babyboi i think overall can mix some great songs but he can do better still
