I got asked this in Business Management and I thought I would ask you all ^_^

btw a linesman is not the sport linesman but an electrical linesman... the one who climbs polls to fix wires and stuff.

I said NO and when asked I said:

Black = not a problem
Disabled = erm... wheelchair, high climbs... <_<
Retarded = well erm high climbs and electricity -_-
Gay = personal vandetta, aka if he was normal but gay I would have said no

Female = more of a mans job but that does not bother me :mellow:
Tranvestite = read gay, same sentence applies here
60 = yeah I think they are a little old for high clibs...

Well i think the poll is kinda worded wrong because i think disabled is another issue as like you rightly said, they cant do the job if there in a wheelchair and someone who is a 'retard' should be in care anyway so they wouldn't apply for the job in the first place.

But the rest, yes there is absolutely no reason why they can not do the job. A job is a job, no one cares if you are gay etc.

they will claim compensation off you.

therefore i wouldnt risk it to a 60+ year old who would prone disaster...

You'd have to be pretty stupid to employ them. I agree that you should treat them equally, but they're obviously underqualified and not fit for the work.

Being a linesmen is dangerous, I wouldn't employe someone whos disabled or retarded. As for the other stuff...why does it matter? It's not like a linesmen needs to be a "people person".
