I've had two playstations, I think its safe to say that all plaustations break within at least 3 years, there just not made with the quality that x-box is made with.

my ps2 is bout 3 - 4 years old, when it was like �270, still gd condtition, odd 1 or 2 light straches, i had bout 4 controllers, 11 headsets =/

Ahh yes the headsets, I think I set a record.....I've have 4 brandnew headsets in the matter of a week adn a half. One broke when I sat on it. The other broke when my lil bros where useing to record themselves, the other broke when I got in a fight with my older bro. Now I have one its lasted 2weeks so far I wonder how much longer I will have with it.

And its not broken yet.......I heard that the old PS2 won't play the newer games no more.

yeah it still is good

iv dropped it like 10 times but its still good

now one of my controlers are screwed up


thats about only thign screwed up



so far they play the newer games

My first PS2 I got day of release, worked for about 3years. 2nd PS2 I got last summer right before they brought out the slim PS2's that over heat(No Fan ) lol. I have 4 controlers and over 20+games (some I stole from my room mate lol)

got mine in 2002 i think it was summer or something

still have it works perfectly only thing its done bad latly was read anchor man wrong but i think its the disk other than that everything runs smooth :P

Well i had my old PS2 for 3 yrs before it went bust, then i got a slimline and had that for a year now i got PSP!

Xbox too would probably break after 3 years...
I've had mine for 5 years, even though I haven't played as many games as you guys have, it's still in working order, just makes slight noises when reading discs.

4 years and counting. I'm more of a PC man myself (I prefer MMORPGs and RTS which are just a lot better on PC, rather than games such as FPS which are better on consoles) which is why I don't play it as often - hence its quite old

Anyone know lifespan of PS3?

whenever it came out i just went to walmart and bought it you said a ps2 breaks in 3 yrs mine is close to it runs slower then my grandma and wont play dvds anymore plus the games im playin freeze after about 3 hours of playing

had it for 2 year and it just broke 2 weeks ago disk just stoped spinning also had another that stoped working in like 10 months it was the older model

I had mine about almost 6 years now. I got the PS2 slim now tho but I still got my old one it's just not hooked up.

Seriously. The only thing better I've played on consoles are RPGs, but just because most of the best RPGs are console-specific.
