Well, I finally got my PS3. Oh man, does it own!! IT OWNS. I am actually posting this FROM my PS3 using my keyboard and the intergrated web browser!! The games own, Resistance: fall of man, great war game, truly shows the greatness of the PS3. Motorstorm, great racing game, awesome graphics. and Elder scrolls oblivion, its like a MMORPG, but..singleplayer. its weird, but awesome.

The online play is free, unlike the xbox, its free to use the web browser, obviously you need an internet connection running already. Also, the plasyation store is free sign up, and i downloaded Gran Turismo conecpt completely free. You can download demos, for PS3 upcoming games, and you can also download full PS3, PS2, and even PS1 games for only a few pennies.
The download speed is incredible. I downloaded a 970MB demo in 6 minutes 4 seconds.

Overall, its worth it. Its worth the crazy price. Its like a PC, and a gaming rig, its just incredible. The browser on the PS3 which im using now is so fast, and on a 32" monitor xD.

As of now, there are no "awesome" games on PS3. Only one that is good from what I recall is Resistance. Other than that, boring games.

We can only wait for what the PS3 had in-stored.

P.S. Motorstorm had potential with it's graphics, but the game play was a letdown from what I heard. Especially with the repetitive and boring single player.

I don't buy games with bad ratings unless they please me. Unfortunately I don't like racing games unless they start with a B, end in a T, and are called "Burnout". And to say I haven't played the games? Bull really... I own Oblivion for 360 and PC so thats what, 1/3 "amazing" games you've mentioned...nice selection wouldn't you say. You can't tell what's better when you haven't played a 360 or a Wii. Here's a selection! Gears of War, Dead Rising, Double Agent, GRAW, GRAW2, Rainbow Six Las Vegas, Lost Planet, Crackdown, and Tiberium Wars. Not to mention there are so many games coming out exclusively for 360 including Too Human, Bioshock, and Halo 3.

P.S. A lot of developers are shipping their exclusive PS3 games to the 360. Some known games include Devil May Cry, Assassin's Creed, Grand Theft Auto, FFXIII, and maybe even Konami's Metal Gear Solid.

seems your the normal fanboy.. yippee for you :S i like how you mention games on xbox 360 that are probally almost 85% gonna stay just xbox 360 only except R6: LA and only reason halo 3 is xbox 360 is oh why is that now? oh damn almost slipped my mind its MADE by MICROSOFT <_< like mircosoft will let sony get their hands on halo cause if that happened xbox wouldnt continue to be sold >.M

i must say onlivion on ps3 wasnt that great.. graphics couldve been x50 times better even on ps3 but you cant say ps3 has crappy games...

Resistance - great overall game w/ a great twisted storyline *ive played through it atleast 20+ times and still love it each time*

Gundam Crossfire - even if you dont like gundam this game is still great overall w/ very easy controls and gameplay

F.E.A.R. - grahpics are great with this and ive played it pc/xbox and i like it far better on ps3

Tony Hawk Project 8 - played this on ps2 hated the grahpics and sluggishness but on ps3 its been remastered and i like the ps3 version over ps2 version

Spider-Man 3 - just recently released havent played it myself yet

Blazing Angels - if you like WW2 fighter games youll love this game trust me on that

GTA 4 - which is releasing in a few months

Armored Core 4 - looks like a great game from what ive seen from demos/previews

The Darkness - coming out sometime in may hopefully looks and sounds like a great game

COD 3 - if youve like any COD this one brings more to the exp. of being there seeing you can fight off enemies via your gun

Tom Clancy's Advanced War Fighter 2 - i liked the 1st one on ps2 so ill have to test this one out once its released

and this is just a fraction of games to be coming

so what ive gathered is your just basing your views on ps3's game selection based on what it has so far.. but keep in mind all gaming systems take time to bring out the best they have for the gamer/s given enough time ps3 > even a CPU seeing the ps3 can alrdy outshine an xbox360 and xbox360 has had time to build its gaming selection up

I have played the Wii, and I have played the Xbox 360. You seemed to magically think i hadn't? While I was playing the Wii, graphics were too childish, the controller was good, but somewhat hard to use, it just didnt suit me. Xbox 360 was awesome, Played it, really having a good time for 2 hours, and then it broke... So I check xbox reviews and boom, "My xbox 360 broke" "Im on my third xbox360 already" It seems the console was rushed. Also, about MGS4, that aint touching xbox, if you actually read the reviews and info you would see that Xbox are trying to buy out koniami and they are refusing them each time.

Nice rundown on the games there, I intend to get Splinter Cell double agent.

Also Ninja Gaiden when that comes out later this year.

I read through most of your games and I laugh. Those are almost all multi platform games! Oh an' Si Vis... just so you know, microsoft doesn't make Halo 3, get your facts straight. Microsoft bought the rights to the earlier Halo games, but it was Bungie that made it? Hrmm, looks like you can't get your facts straight. And ya, you're right, Microsoft would never give Halo to other people, but we all thought that was the same for PS3's exclusive. I mean damn, who'd have guessed, all the exclusives are coming out to other consoles because what? Oh ya, I remember! The costumer base for Ps3 is horrible! Who'd have seen that move coming

Here is a rundown of your games:

Resistance: PS3 Exclusive
Crossfire: One of the worst games on the PS3, 360 doesn't need that. Have you ever even played this game?! If you had, you wouldn't call it great... clunky fighters tend to be crap
F.E.A.R.: On 360
Tony Hawk Project 8: On 360
Spider-Man 3: On 360
Blazing Angels: On 360
GTA 4: Soon to be On 360
Armored Core 4: On 360
The Darkness: On 360
COD 3: On 360
Tom Clancy's Advanced War Fighter 2: On 360.

Now tell me this. Buy 360 and you get all of these games + a lot more exclusive titles. Buy PS3 and you're playing on multi platform games losing out on exclusives that look awesome. We are talking about exclusives which, now, PS3 lacks, and Xbox 360 is at an advantage. "If Metal Gear Solid 4 never makes it to the 360, I might have to purchase PS3 myself." These exclusives give power to buy consoles and motivation and they are an essential for every console.

MGS4 members in the team are discussing about going multi themselves. With the lack of PS3s around the world, and the low fan base in North America and Europe, they need the 360. If it comes out for 360, that'll hurt the PS3 and it's race in Next-Gen. P.S. The lead designer has no hopes in it going multi saying that it was made for the PS3. But when you've got sales in Europe for example going at around 1/10th of the expected outcome, as well as in Australia and other countries, they really can't do anything.

Broken 360s? True they have broken; something that was seen in the earlier versions of xbox. So there's nothing new there, but I can guarantee you that Microsoft has cleaned up this problem with later releases of the 360 just as the xbox had. If you broke your 360 in 2 hours, I really have nothing to say...I've played for hours on straight for Gears of War, and the only problem I could probably see what a heating problem... PS3 had a strong hardware release in terms of it's reliability in not breaking down... but the PS2 was notorious for such hardware problems; don't put it past yourselves. PS3 is not a totally bad console, you guys gets me wrong on that. The problem is, the 360 is far more better, and it's the cost alone that's another advantage point.

Sum it all together, here are the strong/weak points:

360
1) 360 has alot of strong titles already
2) Less of a dent in your wallet
3) The Live, despite the cost, has a much larger online base
4) Many PS3 exclusives aren't exclusive anymore
5) Prone to breakdowns (from earlier models, they fix these things you know)

PS3
1) Better graphics
2) Almost no first party/single platform games (many games being enhancements of version found on previous consoles)
3) Free Online, but has yet to support the numbers
4) Stronger Hardware build, less problems

Wii (ill put this because there is a front on this)
1) Intuitive gameplay; more active and brings you in
2) More of a party console (and don't give me bull**** about other games, I play the Wii and it makes for a better party game with friends then the other consoles)
3)The least graphically inclined compared to other consoles
4)There's a limited number of games on the wii as of this moment too; but much more exclusive then the PS3

Overall, I still rate 360 as the highest, but depending on where you stand (if you have faith in the future releases of either the wii or ps3), either one could be placed as second. You can't say "oh this console ****ing rules because i say so" then back it up with games that you can easily find on any other console... 360 has been out on the market longer. And if I'm a 360 fanboy lastly... you'd have to be labeled a PS3 fanboy... defending on a basis that is abysmal. It's like basically saying "PS3 is great because of the potential it has to be a great console"...

Ok guys, instead of picking sides, how about we go with opinion, eh?
I think it's about what you enjoy most. I like the 360 more by personal choice, xtreme you like PS3 by personal choice.

You two are acting very childish and should come to this conclusion like I have. I like the line ups on the 360 and other PS3 fans like the line up for PS3 and won't mind paying the price for it. Yes, my xbox 360 is in repairs but it's free so it's all good. Graphics? It really doesn't matter if they're just a bit off!
Ps3 has a bit better graphics than 360 but so what? That's not gonna change anything, it's just gonna make you say WOW! And then you don't give a crap about it later! So that's why Wii doesn't care much about the graphics either (still a better party console though).

Now guys, quit yelling and go play you're consoles!

Waffler, we are not being childish. We are debating over the different consoles and explaining and evaluating our opinions. Do you learn English at school. "Writing to Persuade, argue or advise" We are writing to argue, a simple skill in english language. If you see this as childish behaviour, you need to grow the hell up.

Nit3, I have read some other reviews, and it seems some good games ARE coming soon for the PS3. Hopefully, these will be exclusive, and even if they aren't, atleast they will have better graphics. The playstation store has some nice games coming now.

Overall, Xbox360 is a lot better than PS3, "AT THE MOMENT". Withing time, (few months, maybe up to xmas time), the popularity will grow. By checking sales charts, PS3 is catching up to Xbox now through march, but it didnt sell as many copies as xbox in its first week or release. I gather thats because of the price. I got my money luckily, by selling something on ebay, so Im happy, I dont mind the price. I hope PS3 will get better soon.

Well, throughout this year, especially towards the end, there will be a lot of debatin gbetween these two consoles, also, both consoles will do everything they can to win the xmas sales this year. If PS3 want to sell more, they really need to drop the price. Ok, so it comes with a blu ray player, and blu ray players cost $900, but still, its a Playstation, not a mediastation, therefore I want to see some gaming upgrades too. Ill post topics with any cool things that are added to the PS3. Feel free to do the same for the Xbox 360.
