The GameRankings average, last time I checked, was 5.7 for Coded Arms. As the first PSP first-person shooter, I think people are being a little too thick-headed and unfair in their Coded Arms reviews. I bought the game on release and up to this point, I agree in every way with psp.ign.com's review of the game. They gave it a 7.0 and pinpoint the same problems that I'm having.
If you were planning on getting Coded Arms, get it. It'll probably be worth your time. And my review's coming soon. |

Hw are the controls, though? I know how you control it, but is it very comfortable using the face buttons to aim?

Here's the deal on the handheld reviews, as I see it. Handhelds as
devices are meant for people who have some free time i.e. waiting in airports, in a doctor/dentist's reception room, between classes. The games that work best work because: 1) You can play it for 10 minutes and save. 2)Simple, intuitive play--determined by a handheld's limited control schemes. The problem with "professional" reviews are that they're comparing handheld games with straight-up console games and, gee, guess what? They find games like Coded Arms "a good effort," or "close, but not good enough." That's bull. Konami built a game without a lot of depth, granted. But after getting the controls where you want them, it's fun. Fun is the point. I played, I'm now playing in Inifinity Mode, I like it, it's perfect for my busy life, and exactly what I want in a portable game. Have you seen this? What do you think? http://www.usvgl.com/codedarms/codedarmsra...ge=pistol_range
