AFL = Australian Football League

What it basically is, is a combination of kicking, handballing (which is hitting the ball out of your hand with a closed fist - no throwing is allowed).

Points are scored by kicking the ball through 4 posts. If through the middle 2 posts, the points scored is 6. If through the side 2 posts, the points scored is 1 (also if the ball hits the post)

The game is played on an oval, with an oval shaped ball. Players can be tackled, but no high tackles (above shoulders). Once player is tackled, they have to give away posession of the ball (get rid of it).

So anyway, it's basically like a combination of Rugby/Soccer I suppose...for you simple Americans.

Nobody gives a flying fark about the dees. They are the forgotten team. They've kind of been the underdogs of this game, slowly fighting their way in. In that regards I guess they've earnt that place on top of tha ladder. But they'll still be for forgotten team.

Carlton lost, not surprisingly...at our home ground as well. It won't be for the blues this year...but look in about 2 to 3 years. I think we may just be claiming premierships again.

As for the Doggies...who are they?
