What firewall have you got?

if its windows security go into:

Start>settings>control panel> windows security settings ( of something like it) and there you should see firewall seeting either lower it to allow more programs to come through or turn it off.

if its one like zonealarm: double click the icon in the task manager bar in the bottom left hand corner and that should automatically open they there should be a filter list at the right hand side click firewall and turn it off or follow the tabs at the top can turn it off that way.

most follow a simular pattern just work out which one is which.

This weekend i'll write up a doc on what to do...
What you need to do if you have a router is set up Port Forwarding.

If you have a DSL modem or some kind, that could also give you problems, and depending on thier settings, you may or might not be able to do the same there.

A more secure way is using DMZ. Go to your Admin panel like Tek said, then click "Advanced" on the right. It'll bring up a new nav bar, click "DMZ". Now you have to enter the last 3 digits of your global IP and hit enter. You're router will disable to firewall for ONLY your computer, not all computers on your network.

If you need to find your global IP, follow these steps.

- Go to "Run" on your start menu. Type in CMD. This should bring up a command window.

- Don't click anything, just type "IPCONFIG" in the window and hit enter.

- This will bring up some stuff. Look where it says "IP Adress" on the left. The IP Adress will be something like "192.168.1.xxx"

- The last 3 digits (the X's) are what you need to type into DMZ Host.
