OMG NOES DEaD PIXEL?

i just got my laptop like 1 month ago and thats what i game on and shiz but anyways there is a dot on my screen its black and never changes colour and if u put my mouse near it it stays black i JUSt got this laptop and i dont wanna have to take it back i just got everything i wanted on it plz there has to be a way to fix it

Ok, firstly, how big is the dot? 1mm or bigger? Please specify a size.
Secondly, please tell me the operating system you are running so I can direct you in changing some system settings that may take effect.

Operating system = Windows Vista, Windows XP, etc.

I have windows vista and the dot is very small it just dosent change color its not that big at all maybe the size of a period

Ok, go to your desktop, right click, and go to properties. Change your screen resolution, and tell me what the dot does. Does it stay? Move to a different location? Become larger or smaller? etc. If it becomes larger, is it on a lower resolution? Let me know and I can tell you if its the actual screen or a PC error that can be fixed.

Also, let me know the brand of the PC please. And the model. (E.G Dell Inspiron 5100)

Ok, this is a screen error. You should have a warranty from when you bought the Lappy, so get that sorted. Send it off for repair, they'll send it back good as new.. (if they are a good service :P)

ok, what font of a period?? and as well, do you ahve a spare hypernian hyperdrive of a flux compasitr? that may help... or you can get a needle and try adn scrattcht he pixel out...



or u can bring it to the palce you abught nad trade it in for a new one

Doing what TAZ said will void the warrenty, meaning they won't fix anything after you do it.
