Dvd burning help =\

k so my moms friend gave her this DVD of the movie apocalypto k and i put the files off the disk onto my laptop and i put the files on a dvd but when i put it into a dvd player it says the disk might not have playback available and error and incorrect disk (3 dif dvd players) and yeah..... i rly liked this movie and any help would be appreciated

you need certain programs which can strip off the data files correctly that will allow you to burn from dvd to blank dvd assuming you even have a dvd burner... and blank dvd's of the correct format :S a good trail program is

ULEAD i found this almost a month ago only downside is its only a 30 day free trail but lets you move MPG's formats directly on to a dvd and allows you to put it on dvd w/ no problems and i have tested it works great ^_^ i have yet to test dvd to dvd copying yet ill get around to it sooner or later :x

Try the following programs.
Saving onto computer (dvd shrink)
Saving onto a disk (dvd decryptor + Nero)

Decryptor gets rid of the encryption (duh), dvd shrink compresses the movie so it can fit on a disk. Nero allows you to actually burn it onto the disk.

i use dvdshrink for both ripping and burning and i've never had problems with it.

the program is sooo smal but still it does what its supposed to do. i love it.

My bro-in law gave me dcd shrink, never found out how to get it to burn onto a blank dvd. Evil can you enlighten me?

lol abit late, but btter then never :P

you just insert the disk you want to copy in your dvd player/burner. you don't open it or something. you just start dvd-shrink. after you go to open, and you select your disk ( default is E: i believe ).

after this you just click backup! on the top right. the program will ask you for the destination folder etc. just fill in where you want to keep the files and if you would like to delete them after burning a copy.

after it's backed up, you can select wich language / subtitles etc. you want to keep using easy to use checkboxes on the right of the screen.

thne there should be a button called burn or something, just click it after you've inserted a blanco dvd and it should work fine.
