Does Download accelraters relly work and if so wahts the best one

I personally stay away from Download Accelerators - some sites don't support them, and, as you can see, it can slow the download of small files - which, of course, includes basic web browsing.

ah i see kinda ghood for big bad for small

Star downloader worked, but a lot of sites don't support it (only ftp's have worked in my experience) and you only really need it if your on dialup.
