Download current versions of the following free removal tools, close Internet Explorer, then run them.

1. CWShredder:

Make sure you click "Fix" and not "Scan only".

2. Lavasoft's Ad-aware SE Personal edition:

3. PepiMK Software's Spybot Search & Destroy:

4. Emsi Software's a2:

5. Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) (Windows 2000 and XP):

Note that even using these tools in combination may not identify all malware present.

'Study: Tools Let Spyware Slip Through Cracks':

>Quote: "The results rated the Giant AntiSpyware detection tool as the best of the 20 scanners tested, but even then, Howes said the software detected only 100 out of 134 "critical" files and registry entries."

Giant AntiSpyware was acquired by Microsoft to become Windows AntiSpyware (Beta).

Prevention.
I strongly advise using a modern browser, such as Mozilla Firefox or Opera, which doesn't have the desi gn flaws that make Internet Explorer so insecure.
