I personally think gears is better,though it was short it makes up for it with great graphics and an awesome storyline!!!

This topic could maybe transform, with the new addition of Halo 3?

I prefered Halo 1, Played Gears of War at my mates house, was awesome online. Halo 2, as said, was a disapointment, it just failed to entertain me.

I think Gears of War is about the same greatness level as Halo 1, and so much better then Halo 2. Halo 3 though? Well thats a different story.

Agreed. I think Halo 3 will look amazing, seen some videos on gameplay, and it looks awesome. I have a friend that played the beta, and he said it kicked ass, so I guess I'll take his word for it

Although halo3 is supposed to own gears I hope gears will be "The New Halo". I guess i felt halo fell out on me after halo2 and I went with something else!!! I guess we will all find out after Halo3 comes out.

Well I really didn't play halo 1 untill after I got used to halo 2. So I prefer halo 2.

I enjoyed Halo 2 more than Gears of war, because imo the multiplayer is funner. But I've played Halo 2 on system link, but not Gears of war, only played Gears with 1 other person. So my experience isn't exactly done yet.

Gears 2 won't come out anytime soon. Gears of War is coming out for the PC though, with extra levels maps, etc.

Well, Gears of War came out at the end of 2006. It might take another 2 years, possibly 1 year. There are a lot of games coming out for the 360 though so don't worry about it.
