Just to confirm, these were told to me by a friend. I don't have an Xbox 360. Well here you go:

PROS: What is so good about the console?

-Sleek, new design

The console looks great from top to bottom and side to side. It is curved in a way that represents an inhale; a breath you would take just before making a slam dunk, winning a race, or sniping someone's head off. It represents a build-up of energy. It has a beautiful off-white color and unique texture.

-Customization

The console looks great as it is, but if you don't like it, you can change in. There is a vast array of exchangable faceplates with a design right for you. (Personally, I like it the way it is.) Stand it up, or lay it down. It looks great either way.

-Controllers and Remotes

To connect a controller to your console, it's simple. Turn on the Xbox 360. Hold down the center button on a controller, and wait for the light to start blinking. You will actually see the controller communicating with the console. Eventually this proccess will stop. The ring of light on the console and the ring on light on the controller are divided into four LED lights. When the communication stops, there will be one LED lit up on the ring of light on the console, and one on the controller. Next to the LEDs on the controller, there will be numbers telling you which "channel" you are on, or what controller you are using. This set up is very creative and I find it interesting. Another thing that is interesting is the remote control. This is similar to a television remote, but, of course, it controlls the console. You can turn it on, off, open it, close it, ect. I have found this remote to be quite pointless. The only thing you will ever NEED it for is playing DVDs. However, it is creative non-the-less. Back to the controllers: While playing an Xbox 360 game, touch the center button to bring up a menu. From this menu, you can check your messages, send messages, choose music to play while you are gaming, and more. Tap the button again to close the menu and continue playing. (The game pauses when you bring up the menu, so don't be affreid of being shot while checking a message.) Also, hold down the button for a few seconds and you will be asked whether you want to shut down the console or turn off the controller.

-Xbox Dashboard

My first hour of the experience was spent in the dashboard. The Xbox Dashboard comes up when you first turn on the console. It's very cool. There is so much to do. There are different windows to flip between. First, there is the Xbox Live window. From here you can access the Marketplace, and read messages. The Marketplace is used for downloading the latest game demos and trailers for free. The next window is the Games window. From here here you can play on the Xbox Live Arcade and score some gold, which can be used to buy more arcade games, and you can see the Achievements you've made in each game. The next window is the Media window. Plug in your Ipod or camera, it's time to jam. You can listen to your music and look at pictures from your camera or other devices. All you need is a usb cable and you're ready to go! You can even listen to music while gaming, just make sure it's an Xbox 360 game. Simply hit that center button and click on Select Music. Also, if you have a Media Center PC, Xbox 360 can connect to it. I'm not sure how that works, because I don't care. All I know is that you can. Lastly, there is the System window. From here you can set up the basics such as Console Settings, Family Settings, Memory, Network Settings, Computers, and Initial Setup. The Xbox Dashboard is totally sexy and fun to flip through.

-Notifications

While playing games, a cool little message pops up telling you that someone has signed on, or they want to play with you. Not a very big deal, but it's something that wasn't on Xbox.

CONS: What completely sucks about the console?

-Same small friends list

Yes, that's right. They didn't make the friends list any bigger. You are still limited to 100 friends. This is really annoying when you want to add another person and can't decide who to remove. I shouldn't have to remove anyone. I should be able to play with whoever I want.

-The price tag

Sure, the games are great and all, but they aren't worth 10 more dollars. Don't get me wrong, the two games that I currently own (Condemned: Criminal Origins & Call of Duty 2) are spectacular. They are completely awesome games. I just don't think they should be even more expensive. It's ridiculous, especially when being charged $300-$400 for the console.

-Limited compatiblilty with Xbox games

Honestly, what is up with that? They call it, "Backwards Compatability". I call it, Bull****. That is ****ing bull****. Why does this problem even exist? Why can't you be like a normal ****ing sequel console and have Xbox games run Xbox 360 without having to update ****. You have to update every game that you play on Xbox 360. At the same time, some games (including Battlefield 2 which I ****ing love) aren't compatible at all. Period. They say that they are working on getting more and more games to be compatible. I say, why should you have to? Why can't it be automatically compatible? I'm sure there is a perfectly good explanation for the problem, but it's bull**** non-the-less. There shouldn't even be a problem.

-Microsoft itself

Bill Gates is a Nazi. Enough Said.

-Shipped in secrecy

Hello, I am Microsoft. I like to **** with peoples' heads. I ship out a few Xbox 360s on launch day, and tell them there will be no more until Febuary. Little do they know that I am ACTUALLY going to be shipping more in weekly. Oh and by the way, electronic stores, if you tell them, I'll slit your throats. Ok well, have fun waiting till Febuary just to hear that people have been getting them regularly after launch day.

Honestly, that is the absolute truth. That is exactly what happened. It's even happening right now. My dad happened to walk into Best Buy one fine morning when the store opened and picked one up. [sarcasm] It wasn't launch day OR Febuary yet he got an Xbox 360. Hahaha, go figure. [/sarcasm] Folks, that's just ****ing heartless. I can't imagine how many kids were brought to tears when there was no Xbox 360 for them on Christmas. (No, not any other holiday. I said Christmas and I meant it, so **** you.) "Sorry, Bobby, I just couldn't pay $1,000,000 for one on Ebay. Maybe when we win the lottery, ok champ?" Yes Gates, I'm sure that went over really well.

-Bill Gates

Again, he is a Nazi.

-Game Selection

Where are all of the games? Honestly, there should be a larger selection of games, especially when I can't play much of my old games on it.

-Positioning

Remember how I told you that you could stand it up? I lied. Do not stand it up. Your console will overheat and your games will become severely damaged.

THE VERDICT

Obviously there are some bugs to work out. There are truly some things to hate about the Xbox 360. But overall, we have a nice console here. It has some great games, awesome graphics, awesome layout, sleek design, and it's the first console from the HD era.

Since I haven't bought one yet there's only one con for me...
No backwards compatability? Yea, that is some BS!

The Xbox Live thing...well that doesn't matter when you can't get broadband for a radius of 60 miles!! <_<

No, it's backward compatible, but it's only, like, 1 and a half games so far. You'd think that 3 years would give them enough time to make it backwards compatible

Wow the head seems to fit on the body...

I say Microsoft needs a new owner, or we can assasinate the nazi then replace him =P.

I don't see the point in getting a new game system every 5 years.

Seems pointless and such.

PC stays forever

Getting a new console every five years is actually ok compared to PC, where you have to update your stuff every 6 months.
